BBA Win Planning Appeal in Berkhamsted Conservation Area
Brian Barber Associates have won a planning appeal for extensions and alterations to a property in a Conservation Area in Berkhamsted.
Dacorum Borough Council had objected to the development due to concerns that it would cause serious harm to the traditional architectural rhythm and form of the cottages. However, at the appeal Brian Barber Associates successfully argued that the character and appearance of the Conservation Area would be preserved.
BBA Associate Director James Holmes who represented the appellant, said -
"This decision shows that even where Councils raise strong objections to new development in Conservation Areas, we can often present evidence at appeal to show that their concerns are unfounded."
BBA has considerable experience of securing planning permission, both locally and at appeal. If you wish to discuss this area further please contact James Holmes on 01442 874 087 or email james.holmes@argroup.co.uk.
